About Dr. Marjorie Viscardi
Dr. Marjorie Viscardi is an Austinite. She earned the honor of Valedictorian from St. Austin’s Catholic School ( K-8th grade.). In Kindergarten, She wanted to be an astronaut...but by first or 2nd grade, she and her best friend decided it was a little too risky. So a doctor sounded muchhhh better. Little did she know that later, she would marry a rocket scientist.... .
Not just any doctor, she wanted to be one of those old fashioned country docs that took care of everybody.
She graduated in the top ten percent of her class at Stephen F. Austin High School, where she enjoyed playing the stand-up bass in the orchestra and the Dixie Land Band. She also won best actress in a UIL One-Act Play with the Austin High Red Dragons. She spent her senior year in Italy as an exchange student on a Rotary Club Scholarship. She then went on to earn her BA in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin after completing 2 years on a scholarship at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
She earned her doctorate of medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she was awarded first prize for her Outstanding Community Project on AIDS education. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. While there she received commendation for the highest score on the Departmental In-training Exam and earned the M. R. Lamar Award for Clinical Excellence 1991-1994.
Dr Viscardi has undergone post-doc training and is certified to operate the following:

Dr Viscardi has had additional specialized training in the fine operation
of the Matrix RF with Canadian Plastic Surgeon, Dr Stephen Mulholland.
She has had specialized training in Botox, Dysport, and Juvederm via CME and plastic surgeons, Dr. Muneskci & Dt Steven Dayan, and Dr . Mary Lupo, Clinical Professor Tulane University of School of Medicine Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology.
Dr. Viscardi has completed training in New York City with the Center For Medical Weight Loss under the direction of Dr. Michael Kaplan.
She is planning a preceptorship with Dr. Kassir soon.
Dr Viscardi keeps up with her Continuing Medical Education, as required, (at least 150 hours every 3 years) to maintain her board certification.
