Dr. Monica Carvajal received her medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Having been a registered nurse for many years prior to entering medical school, she gained her experience in the trauma and burn units of a local hospital. Her undergraduate coursework was completed at the UTHSCSA School of Nursing. Immediately after receiving her degree in medicine, she completed a three year residency in Emergency Medicine at Memorial Hermann Hospital Level I Trauma Center in Houston, Texas. During her years of residency, she gained additional knowledge in the management of multiple facial trauma and burn patients.
With over fifteen years of professional experience and her own personal battle with acne, Dr. Carvajal decided to pursue her special interest in medical aesthetics by opening La Fuente Mobile Medspa. She has received advanced training in non-invasive cosmetic procedures and prides herself by keeping up to date with continuing education in cosmetic medicine. Dr. Carvajal's approach is innovative and client oriented. She offers the most current non-invasive cosmetic procedures to enhance skin appearance. She is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and an Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine practicing in Corpus Christi, Texas.
